review 1: Well, I really really like gingerbread men :) and I have no idea why i always choose Xmas books to read on a beach, but yeah that's exactly what happened:)It wasn't anything spectacular, but it was ok. I could absolutely understand why Kevin and Alex acted the way they did, BUT it was a lil bit too short to give a real background for characters, it was kind of stupid that Kevin risked his life to get a stuffed animal (seriously???!!) and why the hell would someone decide that he wants to be with someone else just because this person is in the hospital? i know they say that ppl love You when You're sick, but hmmmm....Apart from that, it was cool story to read lying on a very hot sand with mojito in my hand, yep, definitely good choice:)
review 2: This is the fir... morest story I have read by this author so I was able to go in without expectations, except hoping for a good time, of course. I was not let down in the least. In fact, this is a fine representation of a feel good story for the season.Ms. Lynley's characterizations are honestly descriptive without distracting from the smooth flow of the tale, allowing the reader to experience the perceptions of being a participant as well as an observer. I found myself immediately disliking one character, but that changed as the character developed; and on the flip end I instantly fell in love with another character which only deepened as the story unfolded.I genuinely look forward to reading more of EM Lynley's tales and from pulling her up on Dreamspinner Press, I have a few to choose from. less
