review 1: The actual story was ok, but unfortunately the writing style of conversation turned me off through the whole book. As another reviewer mentioned - people don't talk like this. It was contrived and stilted. Also the kid bothered me. Put aside the talking to ghosts and grieving the loss of his father, this is the MOST well-mannered, well-behaved, and quiet 4 yr old ever. My guess is that the author doesn't have children or been around ones of this age for more than a few hours. Ugh...ready for my next book.
review 2: This book left me feeling conflicted. I was very intrigued after reading the back of the book because the story sounded so interesting. But, after reading the book, I was left feeling underwhelmed. With that said though, the book was heartbrea
... moreking and somewhat enchanting and left me thinking about what happens in the afterlife. I guess I would recommend reading this book because the story line is so unique, but I did feel like it could have used more substance. less

I liked the story, but it was confusing when Aidan was speaking as Nicholas.

I enjoyed this book. The supernatural element was interesting.
