review 1: I thought this book was really really good! I loved that Kai was a clueless boy willing to fall in love and find a new him. He got more comfortable with himself and who he was, as an amnesiac, in the book. With Violet... she was determined to be herself and not be weighed down by a family member's previous mistake. She accepted Kai even when she knew she couldn't see the real him because even Kai didn't know who he really was. But the night he remembers he turns cold. He acts like he wasn't falling in love with a girl. A love that could NEVER happened... he's engaged! Not by love. But for his country. Violet is a very innocent character. Kai isn't an innocent character until he loses his memory.. then he's vulnerable and learning all these things about himself that may be ... morea bit unnerving. I mean if Maria weren't in the way Viler could be a princess. But does she want to live ruling a monarchy with threats? I know, maybe you do too, BUT if you don't know what happens and you haven't read this book... READ IT!! I give it four stars! -Ashley
review 2: I've read a lot of negative comments but then sided with the ones who actually liked this book.It has a great plot; I'll give you that, but I guess it didn't reach my standards. The plot held so much potential. The ending was a bummer.. I kind of started wanting more by the last chapter..The characters are very real though, and I admire that. The persona is quite different as to being third-person telling the characters' point of view; I thought that was cool.Nonetheless, I think this book can be a nice sit-down-and-read one. :) less
