review 1: I loved it! A new author to follow also, which is always a good thing. This story follows three main characters version of events, from their view-point. The story starts off with a plane crash and one of the main characters, Cecilia, a flight attendant on board, survives the crash and although initially I found it difficult to like anything about her, I soon came to feel a great deal of sympathy for her. Then, the second character is Tom, he is a policeman and husband to Cecilia, who is investigating the murder of the daughter of a retired police officer and then the character of Freya, whose father was the pilot on the doomed flight. The story is very well put together and beautifully told. I had a tear in my eye in the final few pages, me, teary, it never happens. I ho... morepe this author has a whole load more books in her, I do know there is one on the way, I would highly recommend this one.
review 2: Just ok. I'm getting a little bit tired of stories told from multiple perspectives, especially when I feel it's a bit gimmicky - as in this one, where it serves to try and make the storyline/murder mystery a bit more interesting. The book starts with a fatal aeroplane crash, and then its impact on four unrelated people's lives, which are told in alternating chapters: Cecilia, an air hostess who survives the crash, Tom, her husband who she was trying to leave and who is trying to solve a murder mystery, Jim, whose daughter has been murdered, and Freya, whose father was the pilot of the plane. As the story progresses, the thread that connects all these characters becomes evident, and the murderer is revealed. less

Good debut novel. A little bit different, almost quirky in plotline. Very easily read indeed

It was an easy read, could definitely tell the author is a former police psychologist.
