review 1: Flat out hilarious.Anyone who's been on a typical british camping holiday (rain, more rain, sunstroke and food poisoning from undercooked bangers) or indeed a terrible holiday abroud (insects, locals, rain, food poisoning from unwashed shellfish) can instantly find common ground with these stories of woe.A must read for british comedy lovers, and very descriptive too - so there's a lot of talent going on, for writing and comedy. A quick read, and funily enough, I enjoyed it whilst on a holiday that was almost problem free.

... moreave recalled as much as she did from a vacation when she was 3 but the thing with these stories are that they are part of the family-mythology. These are the kind of stories a family re-tell to each other, and sometimes embroider upon, until they are so vivid in your mind. less
