review 1: This was delightful! Emma Thompson alternates between reading her diary written during shooting Nanny McPhee Returns and the story itself. The diary entries are a fascinating and, often funny, description of movie making. I learned what a Grip does, that Runners are absolutely necessary, and that Cameramen are the most patient people in the world. She describes the fun the actors have with each other, including a fabulous practical joke the cast pull on her.While narrating the story, Thompson adds information not shown in the film about the characters, and is obviously having a really good time. It was as good as the movie.

Read by the author (and Nanny McPhee herself), Academy Award winner Emma Thompson, who alternates chapters between the story and the movie diary. Thompson's intimate narrative feels as though she's letting you in on the joke. The diary is a fascinating look at the making of a movie, filled with insider knowledge and hilarious asides.
