review 1: All around a very enjoyable read! I loved the characters and the fact they did not play games and were quite open and honest with each other. I love the slight mystery the lovers found themselves entwined in (those "found" love letters were sooo romantically good). I will say towards the end, it feels like the author rushed things and wrapped everything up too quickly and too neatly... but with that said, I think this is probably the best regency romance I've read this year.
review 2: - This was an interesting tale of mystery, friendship and love. I was smitten with Lord St. James aka Alex. He wasn’t extremely seductive (as I like) but he was a smooth operator indeed. I thought the connection between Amelia and Alex was a good and at times sexy. However, I wi... moresh she could have been a little more mature in certain areas. I enjoyed their banter and closeness. I wish the story in all had a little more adult texture, not necessarily sex but not so adolescent either. Now for the mystery, I felt it took away a good deal of the chemistry between Alex and Amelia. But finding out the truth of the mystery was worth the wait. Also, one of the side characters “Richard” boy I would love to see him have his own story without Sophia…Richard was a true gentleman that would make you swoon. less
