review 1: Very very nice story. It follows Wildes' pattern of two romances in one - in this case, both of the romances are really fine, although I found the abrupt cutting back-and-forth between the couples (like scene switches in a TV soap opera) a bit exasperating in some places. The mystery that Damien, the main hero, has to solve is fairly interesting too. But the main interest is the development of the 2 love stories, and they are both very satisfying, with the heroines of both especially well developed as characters. And Damien is even more attractive than he was in "Lessons from a Scarlet Lady". Recommended.
