review 1: The beginning was confusing but as it progressed its really good. Vandra the physik Dixie (A.K.A airhead) and the popping in an out of place crazy and not to mention Les the oldie but goodie guy with white angel wings. What's with the two worlds its difficult to understand but whatever the ring choosing Danny. Danny liking the feeling of power. Oh MY gosh he almost shot Smyk in the head with a derringer and Longford was watching all I have to say is holy s@$t is he going to join the five what happens to Les is Dixie going to go or with Danny because a little romance is what this book needs I'm lookin for The next one got to go!!!!!
review 2: This author looks like he started out writing adult books. He is the author of "Resurrection Man". The book is confusing
... more and full of cliched writing, but the premise is unusual: a boy is sent to a school for spies and he is successful because of his capability to betray. This is an interesting concept and not one I've seen in a children's book. Perhaps ,this accounts for my discomfort without the book over all. I feel the author has a message or concept he is using fiction to expound. less

A bit of fun. But not really one a Christian would want his children reading.
