review 1: I like the cover, but more importantly the book immediately drew me in. I went into this book thinking that I wouldn't like it, but I was wrong – I did like it. This book is intriguing. I read it in one sitting it was soooo good. I’m not sure if I agree with the books recommended reading age starting at 8 though…there is some really awful and mean bullying in it. REALLY good book though.
review 2: The Bully Book by Eric Kahn Gale was a page turner right from the start. Based on events that happened to Gale in middle school, this book will keep you glued to each page. Eric Haskins, a sixth grade boy, has been chosen as "the grunt", the loser of all losers. All of his friends turned against him since he's the grunt. Eric has no clue why he was cho... moresen to be the grunt, but when he finds a book, The Bully Book, he is determined to find who the author is and why he is the grunt. The Bully Book is a realistic fiction that helps you understand how it feels to be bullied. The author did a great job on writing a book you can make connections to. This book will show how others feel that have or are being bullied. Throughout the book, there is a point of view from Eric Haskins and The Bully Booker. Even though there is some humor in the book, this is a book that will touch your heart. This book should be recommended to 6-9th graders. less
