review 1: I had high expectations of this book.It sounds good, and there are some great scenes and characters woven throughout the novel. The problem for me, however, was that the protagonist wasn't realistic enough, and because of this I just couldn't engage with it as much as I wanted to. And I really did want to. I wanted to cry when she did, I wanted to smile when she was happy. But I couldn't. That's not to say the book was bad; I've read it several times now; I just think there could have been better character devevlopment or some more relateable situations.I did like the christian element, however, with a hint of romance.
review 2: I couldn't put it down. A 17 year old woman went into a clinic to have an abortion. Her decision changed the lives of so many people a
... moreround her. She left and came back the next day. The nurse took her to the hospital and the girl delivered the baby. In another part of the world a young girl was learning to stand on her own. She was a new college freshman with so many thoughts and opinions. She also always felt different. She never knew she was adopted and her world as she knew it came crashing down. She traveled across country to get answers. She found out about her birth mother and even met her. She learned many things on that trip. She was able to find closure and learn to make a new path. This was a great book. I read the whole thing today! less

Brilliant book of the movie. You can read this book without watching the movie.

It's been quite a while since a book had me in tears of empathy. Well done.
