review 1: Fantastic, absolutely enchanting read! Vivid imagery, imaginative worldbuilding, and great characters-- Hudson is the sort of male lead I adore; the kind that manages to be strong and supportive without being a complete condescending jerk toward the heroine, Mari. And Mari--though I'll admit I had my reserves about her at first-- turned out to be an equally well-rounded and compelling character. Can't wait for the next book! I need more of those two.
review 2: Intense and creepy, SING SWEET NIGHTINGALE tells the story of demons who lure unsuspecting humans into their world during sleep, only to trap and drain them for their own foul purposes. Hudson, one of the book's two narrators, has freed himself from his own demon mistress and vowed to prevent others from
... moresuffering his fate--including Mariella, the novel's second narrator, whom the demon Orane has seduced into joining him in a world she thinks of as Paradise. The novel builds expertly, giving the reader a sense of lurking doom beneath the false appearances, and the vivid, sometimes scary prose keeps you on the edge of your seat. An imaginative and gripping debut for readers of paranormal and urban fantasy, with an ending that promises more great stories from a talented new voice! less
