review 1: Its really real and emotional. There is always something happening, the book is very realistic and interesting. I could really relate it to real life. I WANT AN OWEN FLETCHER! The character of Mia is strong and the relationship shown between the family is amazing. Overall, it was a very comfortable read and it very much took me to another place. The hidden cottage is somewhere that everyone would like to escape to!
review 2: By far my favourite of Erica James's books so far. The main character Mia, is a strong woman stuck in an unhappy marriage with an arrogant controlling man who believes all he does is right and giving when in reality his family feel trapped and almost abused by his control. A series of fantastic twist in parts of each characters stories mea... moren you don't get bored with predictability. I was completely submersed within the characters, the village and their lives. An easy read that I simply couldn't put down. less
