review 1: I really enjoyed this one. Eric is a bit outrageous, lives unapologetically, has his group of "sex friends"... and a "boring" former boss. I liked both of the MCs, probably Alex more so than Eric. Eric is not so nice a few times early in the book, his actions were hurtful though he didn't necessarily mean them to be... he's young and we see him grow up in this book. There's a lot to this book, a lot I didn't expect. Definitely worth the read.
review 2: I was very excited to be reacquainted with Eric. He is such a fun and lovable character. I liked the relationship he had with his core group of friends. I liked the twist on "Spin the Bottle." The sexual tension between Eric and Alex kept me eagerly turning the page. I absolutely LOVED the scene in the begin
... morening where Eric gets to play with Adam and Jesse. The way it opened his eyes to how satisfying a loving relationship can be was perfectly executed. The only thing that knocked it down a star for me was that the Big Misunderstanding was so long and drawn out, and Eric was behaving so stupidly towards the end, that I almost stopped reading. I knew it would turn around, and ultimately that kept me going, but man, was I annoyed... less
