review 1: A bit mixed about this book. It was well written and the story was good but it just gave off a weird vibe for me since Patrick practically raised Matt. I usually really enjoy incest themed book and other like genre (I'm aware Matt and Patrick aren't related and so there's no blood relation) but it just didn't feel right here. The story kind of reminded of Woody Allen and his umm...step-daughter? (whom he is married to now). The way Matt acted when Patrick had a guy around was cute though and those little moments had me smiling.
review 2: This story is 'humorous' but for all the wrong reasons. Yes, a 21 year old male just jumped up at the chance to adopt a trash-rummaging 14 year old boy because let's face it which 21 year old wouldn't sacrifice the best part o
... moref his life for caring for a teenager. He also got approved by social services! He was THAT financially stable and mentally ready to cope up with the challenge. Woo hoo! Hallelujah it's a miracle! And you know what? The kid not only turned out to be gay but also handpicked his daddy-hottie beforehand just like pre ordering on Amazon and waited for 4 years to have any sex at all. And when they do have sex, oh boy! Daddy-hottie has little to no problem banging his son. The inexperienced kid is so skillful he actually makes daddy cum via repeated thrusts to the prostate, something daddy has never experienced in all of the years before. Coincidence? The author seems to think so. The "book's" biggest weakness is its length and it's a major flaw. There is practically no character development. Everything seems haphazard and hurried. The readers are not treated to any contemplations, conflicts, doubts, second-guesses, emotional or mental turmoils that the characters would face. No it's all just fine and dandy. It feels as though the author was forced to write with a gun to her head. Can the author write? I think she can if she pays a little more attention to her story. Her idea is solid. She could have written a whole proper book had she thought it all through. She could've charged for it because this is the kind of shit people would pay money to read. But alas, I'm sorry it had to be this way. The sex scene also needed a lot of work. It was just a little paragraph at the end of the "book". No that's not how it works, that's boring and you don't want your erotica to have a boring sex scene because that just beats the whole purpose of 'erotica'. The author and the book has potential though. Next time, please, do not publish the jotted down ideas and outlines of a book. Write an actual book before publishing it.PS: To make it clear, I have no problem reading gay-incest. less
