review 1: Caterina solves a big problem by solving smaller problems - a great lesson for youngsters to show them how to take little steps to reach big goals! Lemony-yellow color predominates each page (with the end papers showing luscious lemon slices). The surprise ending removes my impression that Caterina is not satisfied with the scooter she has. I do wish the author had introduced Leo earlier somehow.I like that the author included Caterina showing lists: one for what to do with lemons, and one at the end of "Ways to Stand Out."

However, everyone in the town is selling lemonade and if she wants to make money, she realizes that she needs to find... more a way to stand out form the rest of the lemonade stands. This book can teach children about economics and the supply and demand of an item. They can also learn about money, production, and management of a lemonade stand. This book does a good job with the illustrations so the children can get the main concepts with just the use of the pictures as it goes step by step to create a lemonade stand. less
