Counting on Love
review 1: This series must be read in order. The first book is She's the One (Counting on Love). The second book is It Takes Two (Counting on Love). This is the third book.I want to be clear... I LOVE this series...But I had a love/hate relationship with this installment. From almost the beginning I HATED Nate! I wanted to set him on fire and throw things at him. I adore the Emma character and could not understand why she didn't just douse Nate in alcohol and light a match! That said this is an awesome book about the transformative powers of love and all the crazy things it makes you do in between :)Each book in this series is heartwarming and funny (not to mention steamy). I really enjoy getting to know the hidden alternate sides of the characters you wouldn't normally see. I can s... moreay with complete connlfidence that they are NEVER boring. In the case of this book I would say they can be at times annoying and aggravating but that was part of the charm. You see two people together and think ... Ummm no. They WILL kill each other... But they both become the perfect person for the other and you are left sitting there wondering how did that even happen?!This series is truly awesomeness and I will be very sad when it is over. The Dixon family feels like family to me and I really enjoy every new chapter in their lives. Who knows maybe if enough fans beg the author might just be persuaded to write a companion series about some of the minor characters from the town and we will never have to say good bye :) Stranger things have happened! Personally now that I am done writing this review I am going to go start the next book Going for Four (Counting on Love)!***This series is suitable for adult readers
review 2: This book is awesome! This is the third book in the Counting on Love series, and although I love them all, this is my absolute favorite so far. Yes, if you haven’t already guessed, I am an Erin Nicholas addict and can never get enough. She has such a wonderful way of making you a part of her stories. You will feel like you are right there alongside all of her characters while you are reading. One thing I really love about Erin’s stories is that no matter what kind of mood I happen to be in they will always cheer me up because they make me laugh out-loud and even cry, sometimes I yell at the characters, and other times I’m really hoping everything will work out perfectly. Every book in the series can be read as a stand-alone title, but I recommend reading them in order so that you get acquainted with all the friends and family that are involved in each of the books.Emma Dixon does not want to be compared to her three sisters, so she will do almost anything that will draw attention to herself. There are many things that are rumored about her that are not the truth at all, but she does not do anything to set them straight. She has hid her feelings for Nate Sullivan for years, and she is a major flirt with all the guys she knows. But the flirting is one thing that drives Nate absolutely crazy.Nate is a trauma surgeon at St. Anthony’s Hospital, and he plays defensive back for the Omaha Hawks. He’s also a single parent who has no intentions of dealing with relationships and the possibility of falling in love. Emma has been driving him nuts for a few years now, but he knows he is too controlling for her among other things and must do anything to keep from getting too close to her. Nate’s son has fallen in love with the daughter of Emma’s best friend. He is determined to make sure that Michael and Shannon are not doing anything they should not be at their age, or that could ruin his plans for Michael’s future. Emma knows they are just acting like two teens in love but Nate does not believe that for one second, so she decides to prove to him that the teens are fine. Sparks start to fly as Emma tries to keep Nate away from the teens, and they grow closer than either one of them ever expected. Will a relationship bloom between them? Or will Nate walk away when he no longer needs Emma’s help with his son? less
