review 1: At the beginning of the book I thought there was a great deal of promise and I thought the twists and turns of the storyline would be good. However, there ended up just being too much that interfered with it. The writing seemed to be very simple and was all over the place and I was getting frustrated trying to stick with it. I think if the author had focused more on the story and less on the countless sex scenes, it would have made for better reading. If there was one thing that totally drove me nuts throughout the whole book was Jack's constant use of the work "pup". I have no problems with terms of endearment, but that one just grated on my nerves.
review 2: This is a story that starts out well and with promise, but unfortunately quickly goes south. The
... morewriting is very unimaginative and repetitive and the characters never evolve and remain shallow. There's no depth. The plot, like much of the story starts out well, but it quickly falls short. This might be because of the style of writing which is first person and glosses over scenes. There are parts that are laughable and unbelievable. In short I was quite disappointed by this story. Especially because I normally really like the stories written by this author. I hope the next one is better develloped. less
