review 1: It amazes me that EA can still come up with original stories for all these yummy Kindred. Enhanced Ones are Dark Kindred-unfeeling and very cyborg like . Six is a DK who has been dream sharing with a female from Earth. Mei Li is a caseworker with Children Services a highly stressful and potentially dangerous job. She and Six have no idea why or how but Six has to claim her. He goes to Earth and brings her to his planet Z4 to complete the claiming. They have a rocky start but Six can't fight his attraction and protectiveness for Mei Li. She tries to have a friends with benefits" relationship but her feelings are getting the best of her. Six tries to hold back his memories before becoming unfeeling, but Mei Li brings it out of him. He is forceful at times but would never hur... moret Mei Li. A big threat to Six and Mei Li is another Enhanced-Two, a sinister being who is charged with purging(killing) anyone guilty of "feel crime."Terex is another big bad-possessed by evil-has declared war with Earth. Definitely a lot going on but I still enjoy BoK after 12 books, that's saying something!
review 2: I say I am super lucky to have been able to read Enhanced before it came out. I wish Kindreds did exist I would sooo sign up for that draft.I love all the Kindreds we have met so far but Six has stolen my heart. His past is so tragic which makes his life hard to bear such pain and bleakness would be overwhelming...and while I didn´t like the idea of an emotional damper in the end I understood why he felt the need for it. Watching his family die at his age was tragic and unfortunate. Mei was a perfect match for him, her strength and her care of others was what he needed to face what needed to in order to move on with his life. The Brides of the Kindred just keeps getting better and better and I love it that previous characters are involved as the series progresses.Evangeline you are a genius, if you havent one clicked it you are wasting time, dont wait another second and get it, Enhanced is a great read. Fingers crossed the next installment comes soon less
