review 1: Fans of Evangeline Anderson won't be disappointed with this at all. It's very similar to "The Asignment" only with a sci-fi twist - instead of two cops we have a mediator and his novice going to broker peace with an emperoror who likes s&m games. Novice and master have to grow closer to prevent genocide, knowing that when they return their order will separate them for good and may even excommunicate them. Sexy, guilty pleasure style romance with great characters and an exciting story.
review 2: I've read the book so many times I nearly know it by heart and it's still my favourites B/B novel. What I enjoy the most is the relationship between the male protagonists - heart-warming, full of affection and trust. I've never found anything that good ever since. Wheath... moreer you like SF or not I recommend it to all the readers who are looking for a deep love relation between the characters and enjoy their sweet talks :)Haven is a member of the Order of Light, which is a humanitarian organization struggling to preserve the peace in the universe. Young Wren is his apprentice from the time Haven bought him out from a slave-trader, where the boy was sexually abused for money. At the beginning of the book they travel to peace tallks with the cruel and touchy emperor of Tiberion - Rudgez the Forth. Much too late, Haven discovers that he is demanded to bring a sex slave with him. Comming alone will probably make the easily offended reptile to immediately destroy a defenceless planet of Gow-Gi-Nef. Considering the sittuation, Wren, who is secretly in love with his master, decides to play the part. less
