review 1: Sheriff Dane Carter goes to Dukes Bar & Grill to relax and watch eye candy, Tyler Evans. Dane helps Tyler out of a scuffle later that evening over a dispute regarding a pool game outside the bar later that evening and things heat up between them pretty quickly in Dane’s truck. They go their separate ways, taking with them a whole lot of misunderstanding with them as well. A crime is committed soon thereafter and due to Tyler’s criminal past, he’s a suspect. He decides that he’s gonna clear his name by working alongside Sheriff Dane, very closely alongside Dane. He moves in with Dane to help him investigate his case. This is more temptation than Dane’s resolve can stand and things get pretty heated pretty fast, despite Dane constantly fighting how he feels. The in... morevestigation progresses, danger and excitement ensue, and in the heat of things Tyler thinks he screwed up the best thing that’s happened to him. The ending is a very sweet one though. This was a really sweet story. Dane was a sweet guy underneath a tough aloof guy exterior. There was enough danger and excitement to keep it interesting, the crime and capture of the criminal was believable. And they are pretty hot together. Made for a nice short story of about 80 pages.
review 2: The plot in this short novella was full of contradictions. I simply didn't understand both of main characters. The way this plot was developed made it harder, to like this couple.I couldn't like Tyler or even Dane. While being crazy for each other, both of them, acted like kids without brain. They were wrong for each other but some minutes later, they were in the Sheriffs care making out like kids with ice cream. This plot was written in an idiotic way. less
