Welcome to Hell
review 1: Hell's Kitty - Who Knew Hell Could Be So Good! This review is from: Hell's Kitty (Welcome To Hell Book 4) (Kindle Edition)Hell's Kitty is the first book I read in the Welcome To Hell Series by Eve Langlais. I loved it so much I went back and read the whole series from the first book, A Demon and. His Witch. I love all of this author's books and this one is one of my newest favorites (I say that about a lot of her books). This series is so much fun, with a not too modest, matchmaking Lucifer who somehow pulls off being hot and sexy with an outlandish style of dressing. Who needs "Hell-Match" when Lucifer is so good at it?Just as egotistical and funny as Lucifer is Felipe, who knew Hell had such hunky hot males. Felipe is a Hellcat who is quite the ladies man and not at all lo... moreoking to settle down.Felipe is sent on a mission by his boss, Lucifer to bring Jenny to the inner ring of Hell.He is not thrilled that he has to travel to Siren Isle to retrieve Jenny as it is a dangerous place for any males and he is not too thrilled about traveling over water (after all be is a feline).Jenny has been adopted by the Sirens after she is rejected by her mermaid mother for being a half mermaid (having no gills was a big negative). Felipe of course falls for the green haired beauty who is likewise smitten with the Hellcat. The story has you pulled in from the beginning. The hilarious characters and plot had me laughing so hard my family was starting to look at me strangely. While being entertained by the authors incredible sense of humor and wit you are pulled into the exciting adventure and oh so sexy love story.Really this is a must read , feel great nook you will not want to put down. The story is filled with not only awesome H/H but fantastic secondary characters, all set in this vivid crazy world the author has so ingeniously created. With action, sexy romance, drama, adventure and thrills, characters that you can't get enough of and lots of fun, this book really is 5 stars.
review 2: Hell has never been hotter or more hilarious than when Lord Lucifer does a bit of mixing and love matching with his minions with each new mission to secure him a stronger army for the upcoming war. I knew I was in for a fun romp and this book gave it to me from the moment I started reading the opening pages. I had a good time with the latest Welcome to Hell adventure and the story finished out while I still had laughter bubbling on my lips. This one could be read as a standalone, but personally I would recommend starting at the beginning so the overarching storyline is a bit more clear- plus there are many other colorful characters and stories much like this one to enjoy.Lucifer has a use for his curious, always in trouble minion, the hellcat, Felipe. He will send the hellcat on a mission that will kill two birds with one stone. Felipe will retrieve and bring back the mysterious female living on the syren's isle for a specific secret purpose, but in the process the two will fall in love. Or at least that's the plan until all sorts of mayhem takes place and Felipe with Jenny and numerous allies set out on an adventure that leads to shadowy forces attempting to stoop them and secrets being revealed.Felipe enjoys his carefree, tomcating ways and the occasional mission that he goes on for the Dark Lord, but his first view of the hesitant female with the picant looks has him considering a much different life path. That being said, he is determined to protect Jenny and get her safely to their destination even if it means protecting her from himself and protecting himself from getting attached.Jenny thinks very little of herself between the fact that her mother hated her and then abandoned her for being a reject mermaid with her lack of mermaid traits and the devastating power of her voice every time she opens her mouth. Fate does her a good turn and she is washed ashore on the siren's island where the four remaining sirens adopt her as their niece and teach her their 'girls just want to have fun and get laid' siren ways. Now the gorgeous feline shifter Felipe has come to take her to Hell at the request of his master who has a secret request of her. It's her chance to see the world outside the island, but she is afraid to go and meet with more rejection. She is strongly attracted to the hell cat, but he makes it clear that he doesn't do relationships and she is well aware that if he did, she wouldn't be his choice. Only, Felipe hates it when she puts herself down like that and he insists that she way off when it comes to herself. He sees her as sexy, beautiful and someone with a powerful gift. If only he would see her as his. This story as well as the rest of the series is a paranormal romantic comedy and invites the reader to laugh along with its irreverent humor and playful sexy dialogue and scenes. It offers a creative backdrop of hell and those who live there. The characters are just zany and fun yet the storyline dips into slightly deeper waters to offer some intrigue and romance as part of the plot development. The mystery in this one is two fold and all centers around Jenny. Nobody knows what her race is other than half-mermaid because of her mother. Her father's race is a mystery. Then there is the fact that suddenly she is on everyone's radar and no one can figure out why see is suddenly in great demand. Naturally, I was more curious than Felipe to figure this out. Paired with the mystery is also a hot romance. Jenny is a tough nut to crack for Felipe who has had it rather easy seducing the ladies. Jenny took her mother and the other mermaid's rejection and her own differences to heart. She has to learn to love herself before she can even begin to accept Felipe's interest in her. And then there is Felipe aka Mr. Seriously in Denial who scrambles to hold onto his independence. He sees being in a relationship as a really bad thing. So for all the playfulness of the story, there are obviously some serious tones too. This was a fab installment to the series and I look forward to what is to come. These are just perfect for the paranormal lover who wants a quick read that will make them laugh a bit, but also enjoy some steamy romance. My thanks to the author for the opportunity to read this one in exchange for my honest review thoughts. less
