review 1: Well, this is the end - this is the end, my friend. Except there's still NightWorld which wraps it all up and puts a bow on it. This was the standard Wilson story. Exciting and fast paced from start to finish. This was/is a great series that has kept me reading for almost 15 years and there are still some in the series that I haven't read but will after I finish NightWorld. If you haven' read any of Wilson's work, be prepared for several roller coaster rides with loo di loops and gigasntic ups and downs.
review 2: Ever since I read the first Repairman Jack book about 3 years ago, I have become increasingly enamored with this character. His adventures and intellect have always amazed me and been so satisfying to watch as he outwits his villainous opponents.
... moreThis book was no different, but rather than feeling good about the outcome we are lead to fear the upcoming novel Nightworld and what evils will befall Jack, Glaeken, Vicky, & Gia. For anyone who has read this series, I can promise that this book is an awesome ride all the way to the end. Now if you'll excuse me I have to begin Nightworld immediately. less
