review 1: I was a little disappointed in the way some of the ideas of mortality were executed. It seemed random at times with missed opportunities. In comparison to some other vertigo published comics Daytripper is not as "trippy" (which I like) but just as beautiful. The ending was especially beautiful and even jerked some maybe voluntary tears. 4 stars if not only because it's hard for me to find similar graphic novels that have splashes of color grounded in reality.
review 2: Day tripper was about a man named Bras going through life with out really knowing where he wants to take it. this world revolves around death and he is a writer that wants to write about life, adventures, and story's but can only write about death and understand it" people die everyday". every pa
... morert of his life is complicated and ends in death. you see him go forward in life and back in life and see the different types of his life story. he remembers when " life was simpler-- or I thought life was simpler, easier" when he was younger and wasn't stress and was care free. he travels a lot and encounters many problems with his life but when he feel and accepts his life as it is... a failure, he see and meet a women that changes everything. his life becomes happy and joyful but there's all ways something or someone to make it end. this book to me was complicated though out but more towards the end of the story. this book is a good read but only for someone who wants to really get involved with one persons life and try to figure it out in your own view. I would recommend this book to someone that wants to read contemporary life, or something that is based on the feeling of death and wants to be confused. less

I liked this book, quite a bit, actually.... though it wasn't as powerful as I expected. Sometimes other peoples' reviews can do that, set you up for something that's more obtuse than it really is. Daytripper is a gentle sort of novel, even though there is a lot of death. It's a thoughtful book about life, and why we live it, and what makes it important. It's a sad book, and yet as I finished the last page I was struck by how hopeful it all was, too.I wonder, how will my obituary read? Who will note my passing? Will people focus on what I've done, or what I never managed to do?

Twin brothers Fabio Moon and Gabriel Ba have created a lyrical ode to the importance of stepping outside your head and into your life. Family, friendship, love, and fate are wound together in this beautiful book that also testifies to the power of quiet moments, introspection, and the importance of seeing opportunity in the mundane. If you've considered picking up a graphic novel for the first time, this would be a great place to start. Highly recommended.
