Intoxicating Passion
review 1: The Intoxicating Passion books are a series of novelettes. The last one was Daring Dane. If you’ve been following my reviews, you know how much I enjoyed it. Pursuing Korah did not disappoint. In fact, Felicia is a devious, little imp because she left me hanging, and now I can’t wait to read what happens next. *shakes fists at Felicia*In this next installment, Korah has the misfortune of running into her ex-boyfriend Christopher. He’s been stalking her and is a low life piece of BLEEP, BLEEP. He attacks her, but thank god Dane swoops in and saves her. He beats Christopher senseless. The cops arrive and soon after Dane is facing assault charges from this human piece of garbage. Meanwhile, Dane never leaves Korah’s side, proving to her he’s worth her time and possi... morebly her heart. But as each day goes by, confusion takes root inside him, sprouting questions he cannot answer. Is he in love with her?Why does she consume his thoughts? Why does she have the starring role in his dreams?Korah is equally perplexed regarding her feelings for Dane. She’s going through a lot right now, dealing with Christopher’s abuse towards her and not wanting to live her life in fear. Her best friend Leela is helping her through this. When she takes Korah to a much needed shopping trip, Leela gets a disturbing message from Dane’s best friend Cale, whom by-the-way is sweet on Leela. At least I think so, and she is equally smitten by him. The message has to do with Dane. He’s in trouble. The girls cancel their retail therapy plans and rushes to Dane’s aid. This was another wonderful piece to the Intoxicating Passion’s series. Felicia did a great job. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I’m looking forward to reading the next one.
review 2: Felicia is a devilish teaser with this series! She brilliantly pulls you into the story each time and then when the excitement reaches it's peak she stops it and makes you wait for the next one...and it's AWESOME. I've said it on previous reviews but this novelette idea is phenomenal! It's like watching a thirty minute TV show that ends on a cliffhanger making you anxious for the next episode. I'm torn...I can't wait for the next book, but I'm sad that's it the last one. I could read 10 more books in this series at least! I adore Dane and Korah, but I'd love to see more of Leela and Cale as well! You get to spend a short time with the characters each book but you grow attached them so easily! In the first chapter you can feel the raw emotion from Dane through the author's writing. You see a softer side of him in parts of this book too. I think so far this is my favorite installment. less
