review 1: I am going to say 4.5 stars for this, only because the heroine was extremely immature, annoying and self-centered for the first half of the book. I think this could have been avoided if the author had revealed to the reader (at least) WHY the heroine acted the way she did earlier in the book. Once you understand her past, her behavior made more sense and she seemed less like a petulant child, and more like an adult woman with some baggage. The hero was great. The plot was wonderful.
review 2: The elf, Prince Loren, finds himself at a demon hunting facility called Archangel. Dumped there by his brother Vail with whom he has been at war with for centuries. He awakes weak and hungered on an examining table being studied by a beautiful doctor. Needing to replenish h
... moreis strength he lashes out and bites Olivia, and from her blood determines she is his eternal mate. Olivia is fascinated and attracted to the handsome Prince, but a previous heartbreak makes her hesitant to complete their bond.Smoldering chemistry will keep readers locked on Loren and Olivia. They are complex and compatible characters that will keep you engaged until the end. Heaton has thrown into the mix secondary characters that will have the reader hooked as well. Elf Playboy,Bleu, is Loren’s bodyguard and best friend. Sable is a feisty huntress and best friend to Olivia. Then there is Loren’s brother Vail with whom I have a growing fascination. I am curious to see how their lives play out in future books.Kissed by a Dark Prince contains the eroticism I have grown to expect from Heaton’s books. She doesn’t stop there. The novel is sexy, and exciting with enough danger that will have you biting your nails. I always look forward to the journeys into Heaton’s fantasy worlds, and this book is no exception.Kissed by a Dark Prince is the first book in the Eternal Mates series, and one you won’t want to miss. Be on the lookout for my review of the second book, Claimed by a Demon King!*Reviewed by Teresa D. for VampireRomanceBooks.com* less
