review 2: This is another interesting account of Frida Kahlo's colourful life, writ... moreten in novel form by a Mexican author also renown for his Superman (DC Comics) scripts. Not sure how that equates, but it is an interesting fact!This was a quick easy read, each chapter ends with some of Frida's recipes for Mexican specialties, taken from the "The Hierba Santa Book" - the secret book of the title.Apparently, Frida was fascinated with the Mexican Day of the Dead celebration, and would cook these fascinating dishes to take to the graveyard every year.Frida Kahlo is a larger that life character, and the colour, drama and complexity of who she was is well portrayed throughout. less
