review 1: The storytelling was well made but I didn't enjoy it as much as I could have because there was too much blood. I am not skirmish but honestly I felt like most of the action in the beginning of the book was done only for shock value. I mean one of the villains is a blood thirsty, unintelligent pedophile. We learn about that specific trait of character of his very quickly and it is never broached again afterwards (not that I would have wanted to learn more about that degenerate, but I don't see the point).
review 2: Voici donc une nouvelle trilogie écrite par Fiona McIntosh. Encore une fois, si vous avez lu la précédente, cela commence par un bain de sang!! Mais bon passé ce désagréable moment on retrouve ce qui est plaisent chez cette écrivaine, à savoir... more un déroulement de l'histoire totalement imprévisible, avec des rebondissements à la pelle qui sont totalement justifiés et cohérents. J'ai hâte de voir comment va finir cette très bonne histoire. less
