review 1: This book was absolutely hilarious. It doesn't really offer any meaning beyond humor--it is a typical 'modern' high school novel with quirky characters and unlikely albeit believable situations--but it's really funny, silly, and sweet. If I had to compare Hunter to anyone, it'd probably be Gus from TFIOS. They are both adorable, yet secretly clueless and confused. These kinds of books make for a delightful read.
review 2: In Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin the boy population has decreased, majorly. This is a huge problem for the girls of Whitefish Bay and Julius P. Heil High School. Suddenly, slime-ball guys are being treated like kings. Everything has changed…Hunter and Kelly are two star-crossed lovers, in search of something real. Because of the boy recession Hun
... moreter became a hot commodity at Julius P. Heil High School. Good for Hunter, bad for Kelly. Kelly first fell for Hunter because of their shared love of music, and his care-free attitude. But with every other girl in the school going after Hunter, does Kelly have a chance? Are Hunter and Kelly meant to be? The Boy Recession is funny, musical, and a must-read! less
