review 1: Those who enjoy paranormal novels, especially those involving vampires, will enjoy Freda Warrington’s story. “A Taste of Blood Wine” was reminiscent of the “Twilight” saga, only it was much improved and set in 1920s England. Any parallel the book had to “Twilight” was condensed neatly. The story was written in third person, sparing the reader pages and pages of annoying, obsessive inner monologue.
review 2: By far my favorite vampire tale of all time. Forget Twilight, forget The Vampire Diaries, even The Vampire Chronicles takes a backseat to Freda Warrington's A Taste of Blood Wine. Flawlessly incorporated imagery will take you away to this world and you won't even realize until someone disturbs you from your reading. I was blown away by how much
... more I absolutely loved this book, the characters, the vampire lore. 100% unique. Unbelievable. I cannot wait to read the next one. less

Way too much tell and not nearly enough show. Also, the female protagonist fell flat.
