review 1: My rating doesn't reflect the advice in this book, which I think is sound. I read it hoping for more help on reducing all debts, including mortgages, and the focus here was really on consumer (re: credit card) debt. So it just wasn't for me. It's very basic, and probably invaluable to a lot of people, but since I was looking for deeper information (but hopefully in GVO's no nonsense, straight forward way), it wasn't for me. I'm not switching to the magic jars anytime soon.
review 2: This is a great book for taking control over you debt. I have heard many of her suggestions before, but I think it was a great attempt. I would definitely recommend it to a friend along with other debt free books. This books recommends that you have all of your exact figures avai... morelable, no guessing or estimating. Sometimes it's a challenge to have everything that you need in one spot. However, I give it a three. less
