review 1: Garth Ennis skips right past 11 and cranks it up to 20. It's full-on war, and that means there's blood on damn near every page, and the final twist at the end of the arc is only beat out by the over-the-top, double-triple gorey finale of the last few pages. If you've gotten queasy on the art before, you're gonna want to brace yourself now. It's a rough and tumble arc that delivers in all the best ways.
review 2: Another thing that was handled well in the series was the slow build of tension. That's not easy to handle over a long series, and I've seen it go wrong quite frequently. By this book in the series, shit's getting real. The elements of funny parody have faded to the background, and you know that everything's on the verge of going terribly wrong... That's
... more skillful storytelling at its best... (Continued in Volume 12.) less
