review 1: Jamie Delano has left the building, enter Garth Ennis.This volume has the final issues that Jamie Delano wrote for Hellblazer, his last issue is particularly creepy and surreal (Dave McKean art helps) and I had to read it a couple of times to understand what had happened. But it's an appropriate end to a great run.I have to say this, of all the writers that Hellblazer had, Garth Ennis is my favourite. Dangerous Habits is simply one of the best story arcs of Hellblazer.
review 2: The first half of this book was done by Jamie Delano and the second was done by Garth Ennis. The first half entails the trials of Constantine as a child, the story of the Dead Boy's Heart and the olden Boy. I like the scenes where he is a child, continuously asking questions but with no... more one there to answer them, John comes up with the answers himself. Beautiful really. The Golden Boy and the fight to become the Magus, the being that is the ends to his quest, Constantine learns about himself as well as his "other self."Garth Ennis, well well well. I heard so much about him and this particular piece with Dangerous Habits and it really did fulfill that curiosity as to who is this infamous Mr. Ennis. He is pretty good, I can tell you that. So god that it was decided that his particular writing for Hellblazer was to be turned into a movie! That was pretty exciting too, lol. less
