review 1: My 5 star rating is for the series. I'm sure if you just jumped into this volume cold you would be far less impressed than if you read the previous thousand odd pages leading up to it. As a conclusion to the story it is as great and unexpected as it should be. The series as a whole is as great as everyone says it is. Profane, outrages in every way it's possible to be and oddly deeply touching. I can't recommend it higher.
review 2: This is it folk, the last of the Preacher hardcovers. It has been one hell of a ride reading these. This is a suitable ending to a fantastic series. I'm always blown away by expats writing such quintessentially American books. Ennis did it and Steven Dillon drew it and it will kick you so hard in your emotions you'll go cross eye
... mored. This final installment really does wrap up any and all remaining storylines that weren't wrapped up in number 5, and believe me it follows suit with the quality we've all come to expect from Preacher. I can't say more than if you're reading this that you NEED...I repeat..NEED to read this book. And if you don't already own the floppies or trade paperbacks collected in this book then get them this way. This is a great edition that will hold up to the ravages of time. less
