review 1: Lawn boy is realistic fiction and it's about a boy called Arnold and his friends Allen,Pasqaul,Zed,Joey,Louis,and Benny.So over the summer Arnold needs to get a new inner tube for his bike.So he starts a lawn mowing business and he mows lawns for his neighborhood.But pretty soon it gets out of hand and they start getting taxes and bills and he becomes famous.My favorite part about the book was when he found a note under his lawn mower from his grandpa that changes him.I would recomend this book to people who enjoy some comedy and the people that like to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and the Big Nate series.
review 2: As enjoyable as the first. The story continues and takes some different twists and turns. I liked this one a lot and finished it off quickly.... more Unfortunately I can picture some teacher picking up this story and ruining it for their class. Though, if done well, there are many different aspects about the book that could foster dialogue and enlightenment. Discussion questions can include things like when do you talk to your parents about a problem, basic economic models, use of force, and risk taking. People who believe any situation can be resolved without conflict or violence will not approve of this book, much like its predecessor. less
