review 1: first aristocrat wife i will see working. the plot is good enough. hero has a past he still feels guilty about and does much to cover up ad nosy heroine tries to uncover it. the heroine is a pretty bad detective though. the sparks between them isn't all that electrifying. and it had a sweet ending. not a book i would read again though. it took me weeks to finish it in the first place. but it got three stars from me cos all i all, it was a good read.
review 2: This book was not bad, it just wasn't all that wonderful either. It was a pretty plain story. I really liked Christopher but I was annoyed with Abigail a few times. I didn't understand why she felt the need to lie so often. I get the lies earlier on when she was hiding her identity, but after she was disco... morevered, she really did not have much of a reason to lie anymore. I am curious to know why her friend Gwen felt that Abigail should investigate Christopher, but the reasoning was never mentioned in the book. less
