review 1: A unique perspective on former President George H. W. Bush, that of his son and also former President George W. Bush. Written from a place of love and admiration this is a flattering picture of Bush 41 by his son, but it still contains some interesting behind the scenes details while maintaining my admiration of Bush 41 as a genuinely decent man. Besides his time as President Bush 41 is one of our most accomplished former Presidents, playing baseball for Yale, making his own way in the Texas oil business, serving as a pilot in WWII (even being shot down by the Japanese and narrowly being rescued), Congressman, party chair, Representative to China, and Vice-President. This was an enjoyable light read and the personal admiration that Bush 43 has for his dad puts a unique ... morespin on a Presidential biography.
review 2: Fabulous insight into the life of 41, all 90 years of it; Inspiring with its insight into sources of 41's sources of strength: family and faith. I've always liked 41; his is the first vote I ever cast in a Presidential election. I'm even more in love with him now. 43 moved me to chuckle on the inside, and to shed a tear on the outside. 41 is a prime example of divine providence; privately and civilly, to His glory. less
