review 1: I really enjoyed the book. It was an amazing read and the author had a great way of bringing the characters to life. I would have made it a five star rating except (spoiler) for the ending. The whole brothel scene seemed so unneccesary. I love the fact that the main characters are gay and so relatable; however, that ending just made the main character seem weak and pathetic. He started to act nothing like himself. It was a complete character change. He began to act like those idiot females in disgusting heterosexual novels. I am still looking forward to reading book two.
review 2: This was an excellent novel. I can't wait to read the sequel and will definitely read other books by Ginn Hale. The plot is important, so it takes a while before the two main characte
... morers get together, but it happens. So do not stop reading the book because it is so worth it when it happens. The main character (Kiram Kir-Zaki) is a victim of racism. Homosexuality is not accepted in the society he now lives in so he must hide. Which is not something he was used to do. It causes problems. less

Some of the secondary characters are a bit cliche, but it's still a very gripping little book.
