review 1: What a phenomenal series. This is by far one of the best books I've ever read,and I fell in love with the world of the Rifter, John and Ravishan are a painful/beautiful romance that you want to bask in forever. To the ones who are contemplating taking on this epic series, be aware in the beginning you will be confused with the many characters and the new world. This will not last, continue through your initial confusion and become one with this amazing world,
review 2: This story is violent, tragic, uplifting and so suffused with love that it is impossible to look away from. The characters are incredibly compelling and the story itself sprawls decades and beautifully turns around on itself more than once. The world Hale created is full of suffering and yet I f... moreind I want immerse myself in it entirely. Every single character is a hero in their own way and yet there are shades of grey in every choice they make or action they are forced to take. As long and as dense as this story is, I never wanted it to end and now I'm ready to read it all over again. The romance here is so epic and incredible that I can't bear to let it go yet. less
