review 1: As other Holocaust books, this one also showed the horrors of the camps. It had a twist because it had a plot of what was going on in current times and related it to what was going on during the war so there was a lot of back and forth between the 2 time periods. There were many different characters to keep track of. I recommend the story because it makes you understand better the length people will go to survive the war.
review 2: This is a good suspense novel that alternates between present-day America and Nazi Germany. ... morehe plot becomes predictable about halfway through. The book does raise interesting questions about accountability and collective guilt. less

Interesting moral and ethical conundrum - how long is guilt supposed to endure?
