review 1: I had thought this was more of a historical look at dresses, but they were all designed in the past century, and most were worn by celebrities. It was amusing to read about the designers and the methods they used in constructing something stunning for, say, the Oscar red carpet. But it didn't give me what I was looking for. I love a good dress and most of the ones in this book make me wish I was a designer.
