review 1: The plot as a whole was interesting and such a relief not to be reading a serial killer story! The main characters are very likeable, although I find Jane's hyperactivity a little annoying at times. My main gripe here is the writing style. I know the author is much praised, etc., but I felt manipulated. The way the story is told is so choppy I had a hard time concentrating. The author created suspense by withholding information constantly. A character would begin to reveal something but there would be some interruption and the scene would change. Two scenes later, the revelation continues. This tension creating technique is fine with me used once in a while, but it continued throughout the book.
review 2: This is the second novel in the Jane Ryland/Jake Brogan
... moreseries. It is fast paced, good characters and the sexual tension continues between Jane and Jake. Will they get together or will they continue to resist? The Wrong Girl centers around the Brannigan adoption agency -- is there something seriously wrong there? It's a good read. The story moves quickly and the characters are interesting. Enjoy the ride. less

Not my favorite genre. I'm kind of a book snob but quick read for what it was
