review 1: I have been waiting since Harper broke my heart in Beck to see what would happen next. I loved this book! This is Chelcie and Asher's story of how they moved past their hurt and built a better and brighter future.Asher is devestated after his brother's murder and hellbent on getting revenge. That is when he isn't drinking himself stupid and having sex with other women. Enter Chelcie, the woman Ash wants but doesn't think he can have. She is Dee's assistant and helps him do some research in his case against Coops killer. She is also pregnant with Coop's baby and can't figure out a time or way to tell him that won't do more damage. They finally get together and lay all their cards on the table. I liked that we got to see a softer side to Asher. The was he was with the nursery ... moreand moving Coop's picture around was so sweet. You could always tell that he was thinking about his brother through his actions.Things are going well for our couple and in true Harper Sloan fashion, the other shoe drops. There is the case against the killer that Asher wants to finish on his own. After some convincing from the guys and Chelcie, he decides to let the authorities handle it. There is also Asher's crazy, and I mean crazy, ex. She became a stalker and goes out of her way to try and tear the happy couple apart. This brings the reemergence of Emmy. She comes in at the last minute to save the day, much to everyone shock. I liked seeing this tough, in control side to her. She even does one better and tells of Maddox. This is especially great since all we've seen of her so far is quiet and shy. Of course the whole gang is included in the book. The scene where Chelice goes into labor on the glitter walk with Sway had me laughing so hard there were tears in my eyes.Overall, I give this book five amazing, can't stop turning the page stars. I can't wait to see what is in store next with Locke!
review 2: I could not put this book down. This is the case with every book in this series. I love Asher and Chelcie. I was disappointed when Cooper died in the previous book but now I realize that the story of these 2 people had to be told and Zeke would have been in the way. In a way, he is the third person in their relationship. We got to learn about Zeke while watching Asher and Chelcie's love grow. The whole Sarah Jane thing was a bit much but I understand the need for an antagonist. It was a sneak attack as it was assumed their danger would come from Dominic Murphy, so now that I think of it...that was a brilliant twist! All in all a great story. less

3.5 stars, good but not as good as the previous three books. Still looking forward to LOCKE though.
