review 1: Jess is a recent widow and is having a mourning her late husband. Her friends Gemma, Arie and Liz are doing what they can. But it seems Preston Michaels will be the one to help Jess the most. Once they actually meet. You see this endearing story has some unexpected events that make the story pop.Preston is so understanding of Jess and is just what she needs. He seems to be in tune to Jess and is able to fix the issue. I was a little sad her friends didn't get to meet Preston. That would have been great. But will guilt of moving on of her late husband mess with this relationship? Read it to find out. I am totally keen on this Aliso Creek Series!! I am hooked so off to read the next book!Just FYI- This book has no swearing or sex.
review 2: I am a born romantic.
... more I have throughly enjoyed these short stories . This one started out unexpectantly with the aniversary of her wedding and tofind out that her husband has been killed. Her year long talk with the man that has power of Atorney. And not knowingly has she falling in love with his voice and kindness. At first I was looking for a twist , that he was just getting to know her for her money. But it was an honest true fall in love story no cinister twist.. THat I loved.. Thank you for a refreshing story .. less
