Synopsis: News alert! It has just been discovered that there are NO MORE TACOS left anywhere in the world. This is a huge problem because, as you know, dragons love tacos. If only there was a way for the dragons to travel back in time, to before tacos went extinct. Then they could grab lots of tacos and bring them back! It’s the perfect plan, as long as there’s no spicy salsa. You remember what happened last time . . .

Review:

I remember how excited I was when I had learned that we had an advance copy of Dragons Love Tacos 2.  I remember reading the first one to my kids and they loved that story so much (I am pretty sure we got to the point where I didn’t even need the book to tell the story and they probably didn’t need me to read it either.  You know that trick sometimes adults do when they are really tired and may skip a sentence or two?  Nope.  Not with that book).

This time around it is serious.  Tacos have been deemed extinct, to the horror of our dragon friends and every college kid in the world as well.  One does not just accept that tacos are now on the extinction list, so the dragon crew does what any dragon or person would do – travel back in time to grab some tacos and bring them back!

There are antics abound and you know some spicy salsa gets thrown in the mix.  I thought this book was a lot of fun.  The illustrations are colorful and amusing – kids and parents are going to love having discussions on what is going on in the pictures.  The story is great and will quickly become a favorite for children, maybe at bedtime or maybe before dinner every taco Tuesday (yes, I celebrate taco Tuesday!).  I’m will forever be grateful to those dragons for doing their parts to make sure tacos don’t go the way of the dinosaurs.

Recommended for: Everyone!  Younger kids will really enjoy it.
