review 1: I loved this book,inspiration at it's best. My children bought this book for me as a gift! Cover Love Cover Love! They know that Heather B. Moore has become one of my favorite authors over this last few months I have read quite a few of her books! Just in the foreword and preface I began to understand how women can be so different but each has a beautiful story that can be so similar in ways! I personally loved starting off with knowing how Heather B. Moore came to write this beautiful book! Author Heather Moore takes you on a journey with each women in the Book of Mormon, women we sometimes overlook. How wonderful! My favorite 24 Lamanite Daughters, young women falling in love with their captors just made me think! I look forward to passing this book on to other wonderful... more women! I highly recommend this book as well as many others of Author Heather B. Moore's books. I have not seen many books about women in the Book of Mormon, this is a must read for all Latter Day Saint women and men. I personally had my husband read this book. He really enjoyed Women of The Book of Mormon as well. Also I can say that Heather's writing flows so well, with most books on The Book of Mormon I must admit I get bored some read like a manual not this book. I find myself sharing these wonderful pages at church and with friends. Look forward to more by Heather B. Moore! Loved it!
review 2: I would also love to read a book by this author about the women of the Bible.While this is not a work of official doctrine, it is valuable to women as a study of Book of Mormon women. Even though there is not a lot of detail in the scriptural accounts, the author has done her homework and gives us an idea of what life was like in their day and suggests possible motivations. At the very least, these profiles offer lots to ponder. less
