review 1: You all may wonder why I continue to randomly pick up books off the shelves at the library. I guess it is because once in a while, I get a good one. This one was actually decent. It of course follows the typical algorythm for LDS fiction. It didn't seem as bad as some, however, and kept my interest because the main character shares some ideas and thoughts that I have as well. I was also interested in this book because it deals with adoption and foster care. This is large in my life right now, and it was interesting that even though it is a fictional story, a lot of the experiences she had with foster care and adoptive parents are common. I ganied some insight about the other half. Anyway, a really quick read, and rather enjoyable overall.
review 2: This was n... moreot your run of the mill light LDS romance. I enjoyed the storyline and most of the characters were great, but anything involving child abuse is difficult to read. I thought Rich was a dream come true- supportive, patient and understanding. He put up with so much...... This was a little heavy and made me nervous and sad while reading it, but I got alot from it in spite of that. Pretty darn good first novel. less
