review 1: I had to stop reading this edge of your seat, heart -pounding book because my heart could NOT take it.Books two started almost right after the end of book one and with all Heather Killough Walden’s books… the bad guys...Well lets just say they aren’t weak and they are evil to the core. This book shot up my BP and I couldn’t take it yet I kept going back to it! I have read this book twice! The twist was mind blowing, unbelievable! The creativity and the thought put into the writing was utterly wicked. I can’t wait for the conclusion and Secretly Sam is a fitting name indeed! I really liked it… worth my time twice over and then some.
review 2: Secretly Sam by Heather Killough Walden is the second installment in the young adult October Trilogy. Samha... morein, aka The Lord of Dead, is back with a vengeance. He has taken on the identity of one of Logan's closest allies in hopes to bring her back to October Land before the months end.From the very firt page to the last, you will be on the edge of your seat barely able to contain your emotions. Logan and her friends are in the dark as to whose body Samhain has inhabited. You however are not.As the story unfolds, you want to scream at the pages in frustration because you know the consequences of ever action taken by the bard, Logan. You want to help her and guide her and rid the world of the Lord of the Dead once and for all. Just as you think you story can't get any better it comes to a close. I closed the book in frustration. I didn't want the story to end at the climax. I wanted to continue to read until the last chapters of Samhain's life and have my happily ever after. Guess I have to wait until Suddenly Sam to see if the happily ever after does happen.Best Young Adult Book of 2012 less
