review 1: I have no idea why I'm going to the second book. This one frustrated me, and like the big bad wolf series, I struggle with these "bad guys." Yet, I continue on. What can I say? A super special female lead who attracts a super powerful vampire king? It just felt like a hash of an old plot line, and this time there was some torture too. If you just want something to read or want to try out the indie writing scene, then i guess it wasn't a waste of time.
review 2: This was a book someone had lent to me through the nook lend me feature, and I being the person I am couldn't decline. I thought that was a mistake after I started the book. It was slow and dragged on causing me to drop it for a few days until I felt that it had to finish it because someone lent it to me
... more. I can honesty say the second half of the book deserved the full 5 stars but the first half lacked in detail. The one main fault of the book was that it jumped characters way too many times to keep up with and remained slow in some parts. As always Happy Reading! less

Meh...I prefer more drama and angst. This was just ok to me.
