review 1: Ahh, the Phantom King he rules purgatory and is one hot guy. And Siobhan is a young woman who find out at an early age that she is different then other kids and has powers that are evil and she does not want to use it for evil. She tries to hide her powers from others but is unable to. She learns that there is an evil power called Akyri that want to take her power away from her, The phantom king goes looking for a soul that came to purgatory and went back to the mortal world when it was not meant to. He find the soul with Siobhan and ends up saving her from a very powerful akyri. The fight scenes are intense.
review 2: even better than the first book... i am definitely loving this series... it's so intricate and amazing... where the first one's romance angle w... moreas a little iffy this one flowed much better... learning the different powers of the Kings was especially interesting... but i think what made this book so great was really delving into good and evil... and just because you're born something doesn't make that what you are... Jason, the Warlock King, kind of skirts the edge of good and evil at times when you've seen him before... but Siobhan was born a warlock and not really knowing much about the rest of the paranormal world... she just knows that her magic likes evil and has fought it her whole life... and she was the main part of what made this book so awesome... but everything else... and the little stories that are going on that you know is going to build up to something truly awesome is what's making this series so amazing... because it's more than just a little romance or even some love rivalry... it's going to be an epic war... and I can't wait to see how it turns out... less
